Entific research commended
at Marketing Research Awards
When does market research highlight the
fact that the product can make a real difference to peoples' lives? Well
in our recent research for Entific Medical Systems we were told this
time and time again by the respondents.
Through the Loop's multi-faceted study
into finding a single-sided indication for Entific's BAHA device has
been awarded a Commendation at the Marketing Research Awards 2004 at
London's Dorchester Hotel. Now in its second year, the Marketing
Research Awards attracts entries from the top UK market research
companies with entries covering a variety of product and service
categories and research issues. The BAHA study was the only entry in the
Healthcare & Pharmaceutical category that made the final shortlist.
Martin Payne, Strategic Projects Director
of Through the Loop, conducted the study with Entific and with
PurpleDoors partner Steinbachconsult in Germany.
"This was an excellent project to work on
and we are very pleased that it has been recognised as such by the
market research industry. We were able to provide a human perspective in
a very sensitive area."
The BAHA project was a new departure for
the category by looking to add a consumer perspective alongside clinical
trials for the product. BAHA is now broadly accepted as a effective
treatment for single-sided deafness by the medical community.
A case study on the project is available
on the Through the Loop Web site.
